About me

Antonio is a Senior Lawyer at DLA Piper, LL.M.. He practices in the area of tax and wealth law, with particular focus on international tax, estate and succession planning. He is a member of the Executive Committee (Secretary) of STEP Italy (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners). 

His main clients are HNWIs and families, entrepreneurs, managers, sport personalities and celebrities, private banks, insurance companies, trustees, family offices and charities. He also provides corporate tax assistance to national and international companies in a range of sectors such as global transportation, technology, insurance, media, sport and entertainment also in the context of corporate and private equity transactions.

Antonio advises clients on complex cross-border structuring of personal and corporate assets, residency matters, individual taxation, trust planning and taxation, family governance structures to facilitate intergenerational wealth succession. He has developed broad experience in assisting clients on the special tax regimes for inbound workers and “non dom” tax regimes for HNWIs, inheritance and gift taxation, real estate taxation and has gained qualified experience in the area of art and sport law.

His responsibilities also include assistance in national and international tax rulings, and tax settlement procedures regarding assets held offshore. Moreover, he represents clients during pre-litigation and litigation tax matters before tax authorities and courts, and he has gained experience in the field of criminal-tax law.

Antonio is the author of more than 150 publications on the main Italian economic newspaper "Il Sole 24 Ore" and on legal and tax reviews.

In 2020 and 2019 he has been recognized from peers and clients as a leading individual in Chambers HNW Guide.
